On the Translator page, select the two languages to be used for the conversation.
Set the language spoken by the other person on the left and your language on the right.
You can also choose whether to enable AI Live Notes and AI Tips.
Tap Start to begin translation.
During translation:
- Phone: The MemoMind App displays two sections. The upper section displays AI Capability. If both AI Capabilities are disabled, this section is not displayed. The lower section displays the translated content. You can choose to display all translation content, including recognition and translation in both languages, or display one language at a time. For example, if you select English and Mandarin Chinese, you can choose to display only EN > ZH or only ZH > EN. Tap the pause/play button to pause or resume translation. You can also end the translation.
- Glasses: The display also contains two sections. The upper section displays AI Capability. If both AI Capabilities are disabled, this section is not displayed. The lower section displays translation content. When looking straight ahead, only the translated text of the other person's language is displayed. When you tilt your head up, both the original text and translation of the other person's language are displayed. Press the glasses button once to pause or resume translation, or press and hold the glasses button to end translation.
- Glasses indicator (Memo Memory off): The indicator remains off regardless of whether the glasses or phone is being used as the recording device.
Tap the Settings button in the lower-right corner of the MemoMind App to configure:
- Language: Set the other person's language on the left and your language on the right.
- Audio Input: Choose the glasses or phone as the recording device. When using the glasses, you can set the microphone pickup direction to "Front" or "All directions".
- Minimal Mode: When enabled, only three lines of translated text are shown. Minimal Mode extends battery life.
- Mobile Display: Choose whether to display only the translation or both the original and translated text.
- AI Capability: Enable or disable AI Real-Time Summary and AI Tips.
- Display Settings: Configure a dedicated display distance, height, and brightness for the Translator page. Auto brightness cannot be enabled from this page.
