Both display systems operate simultaneously using a binocular display configuration. The two eyes receive the same calibrated content, which is then fused by the brain into a stable virtual image.
Displaying completely different content to each eye could cause binocular rivalry, alternating images, ghosting, and difficulty focusing, and may increase visual fatigue during extended use.
